cannot log on to my multisite wp form local lan

    I am running ubuntu 11.04/wp 3.21/amp

    i have setup a multisite with subfolder settings
    my ip is 192.168.1.7
    i can easily login to site edit chages , permalinks working everything all set and done
    aftwer that i tried to log in to my site 192.168.1.7/wordpress
    and i get error “unable to connect”

    I have tries to replace localhost in wp-config with my ip but no help

    I have added a line in /etc/hosts
    127.0.0.1 is localhost
    192.168.1.7. appsrv2.xyz.tv appsrv2

    my resolv.conf reads
    search
    nameserver 192.168.1.1

    i couldnot find any thing on this if you guys can help me out onthis

    After that what? Are you saying once you set permalinks you can no longer log in?

    Are you sure mod_rewrite is turned on?

    my mod_rewrite is on
    as u had helped me with that, i managed it in lamp
    all my sites cen use pretty permalinks
    the problem that has arised now is , i am not able to access my wordpress from other systems connected on lan

    i can access apache, phpmyadmin, but not wordpress

    you have to use a full domain with multisite, not an IP address.

    Ok but wherr and whatchanges do i need to make. to make it work

    i tried editing resolv.conf, hosts, and wp-config
    while installing linux i had put abc.com domain

    so wcan u help me with this settings

    Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost.

    this is the message whn login from other pc from lan

    i have solved it it was a ip issue figured out and solved
