  • Do you have access to the MySQL database via PhpMyAdmin or some similar tool ?

You could find the field that stores the password.

One you have done that – you should go here and ECRYPT a password.

Then, put the encrypted value in the password field in the database.

Should be done that way. If you are a little new on that side maybe I could help over.

Is your thing solved ? Did you get a move on what I said ? Helloooo ?

Or did you just run a fresh install ??

If you give an advice, make it in the right way.
    No need to go there.
There is an option to save the pw in mysql with md5!

And this is for those that don’t want to mess with the mysql:

    Hello Ehab and Moshu,

I discovered the help pages on this problem and went through everything to the letter and also used the emergency.php script. Sadly, all to no avail.

I didn’t set up my databases and the main WP database is on my WHM, whereas my Cpanel has no database. Whether this is the cause for having no success I don’t know.

My blog has not been running long so I will probably run a fresh install.

    Thanks for responding
