    Hello. Something happened, my website stopped working, I cannot login to my dashboard. There is an error message Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>= 7.2.5”. You are running 7.0.33.

    But how can I update it if I cannot login?

    Are you hosted on Bluehost? If so, this is related to the Bluehost plugin. Update your PHP version to 7.4 or wait a bit, as Bluehost is looking into this issue.

    I am having the same issue, and yes I am hosted by Bluehost.

    I figured it out! I used this website to help me navigate. https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/php-version-selection But I had to log into my Bluehost account.

    I determined I had the Rock Version and followed their directions on how to update the php!

    I selected a php version 7.3 and hit apply. Went back to my wordpress page hit refresh and it loaded!

    Thank you gallatinulc, you solved my issue.

    Same here thank you for sharing this. I had the message: Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>= 7.2.5”. You are running 7.0.33.

    – and this solved the issue by updating the PHP.

    I have found where to do the update but when a newer PHP version is selected, I then can’t click “apply” as I get a forbidden sign next to the arrow pointer.

    UPDATE: had omitted to select the site it should be applied to – now sorted.

    I have followed the instructions from this link. I hit “apply” after updating to 7.4 and my website still displays “Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>= 7.2.5″. You are running 7.0.33.”

    Anybody have any tips?

    Then you did not correctly update to 7.4. Please contact your host’s tech support.

    thank you all! What I did yesterday is I just contacted the Bluehost support, and they fixed the issue in just 1 minute

    Ty all for this super helpful info! After following all the steps in the article link, the “apply” button was not visible for some reason. Luckily the Bluehost support staff was able to update the domain PHP version for me. Of course after they made the update and I refreshed the browser, the button magically appeared…

    @gabrielvito
    You have to update the PHP version incrementally, you must first update to 7.1 and then you must update to 7.2, we cannot skip versions

    The website claims to have updated, yet it still isn’t working. How do you contact bluehost support? I am pretty sure when I signed up it said all updates will be automatic, not that you would need to go through a whole song and dance to be able to use a simple website?
