Cannot login to subdomain wp-admin

  • I can’t believe I’m actually having to come here, since my hosting provider (BlueHost) couldn’t solve my problem.

    I have a website, neabors.com, and a subdomain of that, news.neabors.com. I was able to successfully login to the backend of the subdomain earlier today and now all of a sudden it’s redirecting me to the primary domain. I decided to try the live chat and sadly was connected to the ever-growing outsourced version of what’s deemed as “tech support”. While I was in the chat session, I noticed that they edited code WITHOUT telling me (I had to change it back), and then they tell me that I need to go to www.ads-software.com because it’s out of their league. Seriously?

    I didn’t touch anything, and now I can’t even get into the backend of my website!!! Why did I go with Bluehost? Why?!?!?!

    I need REAL help please.

    How is the subdomain site setup?

    Is that site in its own folder, or is it a new WP install?

    I’ve been having the same problem. My primary is https://www.pdxinc.com (hosted with JustHost). When I created a subdomain (absolutedev.pdxinc.com) and installed WP at that subdomain it created a new login using the same email address to access the admin area for that one. When I try to log in to the subdomain it rarely works…to the point that I actually got locked out of the WP Admin area of the subdomain this morning.

    If the troubleshooting already posted made no difference for you, then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. That way you stand a good chance of getting the assistance you want.
