Please help me solve this issue

    thanks

This is what I am getting:

The website encountered an error while retrieving https://www.jhozim.com/wp-login.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Anyways, 1) check your files and database, if everything is on the place.
    2) Try deleting htaccess file..

    have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
resetting the plugins folder by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
    -renaming your htaccess file
    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    thanks

So what I did was go through and deleted any old and obsolete plugins. This seemed to do the trick for admin access but I was still getting errors for users with editor and contributor access. I didn’t want to change the theme to default theme in case anything went wrong and wasn’t able to change back to our main theme. So I re-saved the custom permalink structure. This seemed to do the trick. Swwhheet ??

Just when we thought we had fixed it…

It’s definitely the permalink structure that is causing the problem. We’ve set it as custom ‘/%category%/%postname%/’. However this is breaking the backend for our editor and contributor users (Admin access is ok).

The custom url structure is causing the problem. When we set it as ‘https://www.webgrowth.biz/2011/02/sample-post/’ there is no problem with editor or contributor backend access.

We unfortunately cannot afford to change the url structure as we have over 140 posts that will need redirecting. These posts also have retweets and facebook likes, which affects our authority.

Does anyone know how we can fix this issue by still keeping our custom url structure?

@keesiemeijer thanks but it didn’t help.
