Cannot make menu horizontal

I am fairly new to wordpress, we formerly had a company manage the page for us but now we have decided to give it a try ourselves.
I am working on adding a navigation menu. If you go to https://www.inexadvisors.com you can see that I have gotten the menu to display…
The problem is that we would like a horizontally lined menu with font and colors to match the ribbon where our address is. We would also like it to span the width of the page. I am not sure how to do this. I made the menu through the appearance settings then had to add the strip of code to the header.php and activate it in function.php
Can anyone help?
