Cannot make refund via stripe wechat

    Hi, we are having a problem to make refund via woocommerce stripe wechat. When tried to click “refund via Stripe Wechat”, receive the error message “An error occurred while attempting to create the refund using the payment gateway API”. Not sure what’s the possible reasons to cause the issue. We can make refund successfully if order is paid by credit card.

    We tested in both live mode and test mode. Both have the same issue.

    Could you please help to guide me to fix the issue? Many thanks!

    When attempting to process this refund, did you happen to have Stripe debug logging enabled (don’t paste them here)?

    Can you also include a copy of your system status report? – WooCommerce > Status > ‘Get system report’

    Additionally, do you see any fatal error logs for the same time frame that you tried to process this refund (don’t paste them here)? – WooCommerce > Status > Logs

    Thanks for reply.

    I enabled Stripe debug log but there is no debug message related to Stripe. Also, there is no fatal error logs for the same time frame that I tried to process the refund. This refund issue only happens if the order is paid by wechat.

    WooCommerce Stripe Gateway: by WooCommerce – 4.2.3

    The most recent version of Stripe is v4.3.1. Can you try updating and then perform the same test you previously had?

    If you’re still having issues after doing so, could you fill out a ticket so that we can look further in more detail?

    I would like to know how Wechat pay was enabled with this plugin. I have been trying to add it to my site but so far haven’t figured out how.

    I actually completely overlooked that.. Our Stripe plugin does not currently support WeChat Pay, as it’s still in beta at Stripe.

    @cloris415 – I’m currently checking with our developers to see how I can also set this up locally to assist.

    @jcswang / @cloris415 – I’ve heard back from our developers who say that WeChat is not supported, nor do we have any of the functionality to activate it. The only mention of WeChat currently is the logo.

    If this is available as a payment option in checkout, it must be custom development that’s making it a possible option.

    @jricketts4 – Yes, it’s custom development. But all the functions we build for WeChat are related to frontend payment option only. It shouldn’t affect refund,right?
