Cannot modify header information – How to enter my contral panel?

  • Hi all,

    I played the ‘apprentice wizard’ and tried to modify the code of my Google Analytics plugin to add the tracking code for the AddThis plugin. However, I probably messed up the copy-paste part and now I am getting this error message whenever I tried to get on wp-admin

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/laviee7/public_html/wp-content/plugins/googleanalytics/googleanalytics.php:82) in /home/laviee7/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1121

    I know exactly where the error is, but I don’t know how to correct it. I have read a few threads saying I need to download the file and modify the code, but I don’t even know how to do that…
    I believe I am using a very recent version of wordpress as I installed it last April.
    Can someone help and give me very very simple intructions?
