    Hello,
I cannot network activate Wordfence. After clicking ‘Network Activate’ the super-admin panel timeouts and plugin remains unactivated.

I have multi-site dev installation on Windows WAMPSERVER with Domain Mapping. I have currently two sites within network.

There’s no info in PHP and Apache logs. I have WP_DEBUG set to true.

I have WPML+WPML String Translation, Yoast SEO and W3 Total Cache plugin installed. I tried to deactivate Yoast SEO & W3 Total Cache but it didn’t helped. I have almost clear installation of wordpress (only sunrise.php changes according to multi-site settings and WPML) and my own theme on one site.

    Any advice?

  • Hello tommy4,
For the record, we do not officially support Windows servers but we still try to help when we can. Did you check a browser console for any network or javascript errors?

Thank you for the reply. I found some logs in Apache directory, after some googling it seems that the problem is WAMP related and somewhere PHP is crashing. Maybe I will try to upgrade WAMP server or I will just test it on the Linux server before going to production.

Ok, I installed VC14 dist x86+x64, Apache 2.4 x64, PHP 7.0.6 TS x64 and MySQL 5.7 from scratch and first time plugin activation was unsuccessful, however it throwed me an error max_execution_time exceeded, so I increased it to 120 and it is activated.

    Thank you for your assist.
