cannot open login page or login to admin dashboard

I cannot login to my admin dashboard or open the login page.
The public page is ok.
Get error ”Safari cannot open page trimmasinnet.se/wp-login.php Servern is not responding.”
Same error message with page trimmasinnet.se/wp-admin/

It has been working for a couple of years. I can only recall that the only thing that may have changed since I logged in last time is an automatic update of WP.

So I tried via ftp:
1. Remove all the plugins by renaming the plugin folder and creating an empty plugins folder. Not working
2. Rename my Avada theme. Not working – however i once reached the login page (and then nothing – I have the correct password)
3. Emptying cache and cookies
4. Called my webhotell provider. No problems there.
5. Clean install of ftp: removed all the folders, added new folders from WP4.2.2 download in Swedish. Added my old config.php file. When I try to login I get the message that the database needs to be updated. The db is updated ok and then nothing. Same error message. The public page is now white.
6. So I compare my old config file with the new in 4.2.2. The only difference is that the new file do not have the option define(‘WPLANG’, – probably my former installation was in english and thats why the database needed to be updated?
7. I change my old config. file and set swedish language and debug mode true. Still same error message and I can see in my web browser/development tools/error messages that the recourses ”wp-includes/css/dashicons.mini.css and dashicons.css cannot be loaded.
8. I change the names of the dash icons files – and nothing.

I run out of ideas and I don’t really know how the debug mode works.
I really appreciate some help here!
