cannot post comments on my blog

  • hi ,

    i need help regarding this problem, ppl cannot post comments on my blog when they try to comment on any post it takes them to error page. I reinstalled wordpress but still its not going to comments page where user can enter comments in the text box.

    Surprisingly i have another blog which has same wordpress installed but it is working fine , every theme is taking to comments text area page when want to comment on any post. So i copied the exact same wordpress files to this domain but still not working. you cannot post comments on any post , it takes you to 404 error page whts the problem, i installed fresh wordpress but still this error appearing.

    i need urgent help, because i want to put blog as soon as working, i removed all previous posts and installed fresh wordpress, so currently nothing on my blog except one post.

  • Remove the version of default theme in your themes directory and upload a fresh default theme from the WordPress 2.8.4 pack and try. Your current theme shows a weird category link.
    And temporarily reset the permalinks.

    And then let us have a look.

    i did as u said but its still have wierd look what should i do? i previously removed all files from the server .

    pls tell me another solution.

    yes now the comments area working. its going to comments area after i reset permalinks but the default theme is appearing weird, its not appearing full. sidebars are not appearing.

    Hello everyone.
    I’ve got the same problem. There is no way anyone can post comments.
    I have already upgraded my wordpress version, deactivated all plugins, all widgets, tried changing the theme…. but nothing seems to work.
