• I am trying to change the theme on my site, but every theme I try seems to throw the same error: Hacked by x-Shona
    I’ve scanned my site and cleaned it up. There are no other signs of any hacking or malware on my site, but the error persists.
    Am I just coincidentally choosing the same themes as x-Shona or is there something else I can do to fix this?

    If the error pesists, it just means there’s some backdoor or something still lingering around… you (and your scanning software) just can’t see it.

    Have you thoroughly followed all the instructions here? https://codex.www.ads-software.com/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked

    If you have, then might be time to hire an expert to look into it for you.

    Did you scan the site with Wordfence security plugin? first try to scan the website with Wordfence security plugin,

    Hope this will solve the issue.

    in your core wordpress files, there is php file that goes by the name of function.
    search this code
    <?php preview_theme() ?>
    there is some anomaly in this preview_theme() as far as i can guess by some backdoor malware or hacker
