    Hello

    I have updated latest version of woocommerce plugin and theme on my website.
    Now I am facing a problem is cannot process checkout and the page are loading til gateway timeout . For my previous website does not have this kind of problem.

    My website setting
    Theme = Woodmart 2.4.0
    Woocommerce plugin = 3.3.5 version
    Payment gateways method = BACS(bank direct transfer)

    May I know anyone have same situation with me? and how do I fix it ?

    The first thing to do is to make sure that isn’t caused by theme/plugin conflict. To test for that, are you still experiencing the same issue after deactivating all of your plugins (except WooCommerce) and switching to the default Twenty Seventeen theme?

    I rollback my current website to older version and it are working fine. I provide a demo project url to you , it have same issue after updated plugin and theme.

    I tried a test transaction on your site, and saw the same spinner after clicking “place order” on the checkout page. This is the most basic checkout in WooCommerce and usually works without any issue, which makes me suspect something is wrong with the WooCommerce installation itself.

    Can you please re-install WooCommerce? The best way to do that is to download the latest version from this forum, then upload the files via FTP. I

    Hi Support,

    I completely remove WooCommerce using step as below :
    1) Open wp-config.php
    2) Add the following code define (‘WC_REMOVE_ALL_DATA’, true);
    3) Deactivate WooCommerce and delete WooCommerce

    Then, I following the way you suggest to install woocommerce as below :
    1) Download the latest version of woocommerce from wordpress forum.
    2) upload file to plugin folder via FTP.
    3) activated woocommerce and complete woocommerce install wizard

    after those setup , I add new product and try to checkout , but I have same issue (get spinner until gateway time out ).

    The only other thing that I can think of is caching: it can do strange things. You should reach out to your host to see if they’re caching any of the WooCommerce pages. Here’s some more information:

    I’d also recommend checking into your WooCommerce > Status > Logs to see if there are any fatal PHP errors that could be causing this.

    Beyond that, I’m out of ideas – your next best option may be a clean install elsewhere, to see if that works correctly. The differences between that environment and your current environment may provide clues.

    I’ll leave this thread open for a while longer, in case anyone else is able to chime in with more thoughts.

    I’m having this exact same issue with two of my client sites. Have rolled back the site to 3.3.5 woocommerce and it works. As soon as I update to 3.4.5 (or 3.4.4) the checkout process breaks.

    I’ve disabled all plugins and switched the theme to twenty seventeen, still doesn’t work.

    In the above scenario (no plugins & 2017 theme), it *sometimes* loads before the 1.5min timeout, and when it does, it appears to have been hung up on this: /?wc-ajax=update_order_review (although in most recent test, this page used only 15s of the 1.2min total time it took to load the page. The css files were all cached and therefore took 0s to load. The rest of the resources each took under 25ms to load).

    Were there any changes to wc-ajax in the 3.4.? updates?

    We’ve got the same problem when using Square and Stripe. Looks like bad Ajax calls by Woocommerce to http instead of https. We can’t figure out how or where those are being generated. If someone has a clue (Woo does not), we need help.

    I had such a problem with my website hosted on Aliyun.com too. With the same website on Localhost on my computer via Wampserver, it works without any spinning problem at Checkout.

    What kind of configure on the server side would cause such problems?

    I have had an another work around. Just copied the whole site to subdomain and checkout is working on it. Really weird. Hope this could be a clue for some experts.

    Finally I have fixed it. We noticed our two sites having checkout infinite spinning wheel issue. had a lot of work arounds. Then found there was a https redirect in cPanel. Just deleted it from both cPanel and our both sites checkout pages working fine. Hope this will help someone.
