• Just as Dr_monkeyface on another post, when trying to broadcast to Facebook, I get this error:

Social failed to broadcast the blog post “December Update” to one or more of your Social accounts.

Facebook: (My name) (Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user has changed the password.)
    Possible fixes:
Social was not successful in broadcasting this post (perhaps the service is down?), please try broadcasting again. If you receive this message repeatedly, you can try the support forums.

I have disconnected and reconnected from the ‘my account’ section of Social. I have also removed the permissions from Facebook, and reactivated them, but still cannot broadcast to Facebook.

I did, indeed, change my password on Facebook a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for any advice you may be able to give.

  • As you can see in the reports here, this appears to be a situation that appears for a small number of folks. We have never experienced it and have never been able to trigger the condition in our testing. It’s very hard for us to “fix” something that is working for us. Hopefully someone can provide detailed steps to reproduce, assuming this isn’t just random Facebook API gremlins.

    Have the same problem intermittently.
Haven’t been able to figure out what triggers it either though… alas.
