Following this morning’s update to Yoast version 20, I am seeing the below error under Yoast > Settings > Site Connections

Something went wrong. An unexpected error occurred.
We’re very sorry, but it seems like the following error has interrupted our application:
Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘prevOffset’)

Unfortunately, this means that all your unsaved changes will be lost. You can try and refresh this page to resolve the problem. If this error still occurs, please get in touch with our support team, and we’ll get you all the help you need!

Refreshing the page makes no difference.

I’ve tried various sites on different hosting with different plugins and themes, all so far have the same issue.

  • Hey @thewebsmiths,

    Thank you for reaching out.

We’ve seen one report so far and we’ve seen this being caused by incorrect translations in some locales on translate.www.ads-software.com. Mainly where placeholders are incorrectly used in their translations.

    We’re actively investigating.

The sections are now showing the titles and placeholders in what looks like Chinese lettering: 百度

    Hey @thewebsmiths,

Exactly, there are a few English UK / New Zealand / Australia translations that were incorrectly translated on .org. It will take a bit to have the PTE translators update/approve our new suggestions which will then result in new translation update and fix it.

    Thanks @jeroenrotty
All resolved with the translation update.

Superb, thanks once again to let us know! Have a great day!

Hello Yoast team! Please i don’t know why my two sites Yoast generated sitemaps are not reading on google console. I also tried generating a new Yoast sitemaps for the sites but it is not going through. Please help me out, because it is very urgent, my sites are gradually dying. Please help.
    The two sites are:
    lawfulcash.com
    goclassroom.org

    my gmail:[email protected]

    Yep it’s the translations

This plugin solved it for me: force update translations

    Hi,
Lately i get this error “Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘prevOffset’)” on all of my website, i tried the “force update translations” plugin but it didn’t solved the problem, any more ideas on how to solve it as the plugin is useless right now.
