Cannot redeclare retrieve_password()

    After duplicating on the new server and clicking the button to log into admin I get the following error:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare retrieve_password() (previously declared in [xxx]/public_html/wp-login.php:357) in [xxx]public_html/wp-includes/user.php on line 2671

    The plugin was not able to access the root folder in the original website and so I had to copy and upload to the new server. Apparently all permissions on the original server are fine and it should work.

    Any ideas?
