Cannot remove admin notices

It doesn’t disappear after going to the Recipes > FAQ page either?

Unfortunately not. I tried going to every internal page in the plugin but nothing. It may be interfering with something else on this site but I’ve not been able to diagnose it yet.

A friendly UX suggestion: I am in favor of all admin notices having dismiss links. ??

The default behaviour should be that it shows up just once, so there’s no need for a dismissal button. I’m not sure what’s going wrong on your end.

To respectfully disagree (though I admit that I don’t know if there is a coding standard for that specifically), there are times where default behaviors don’t perform, and offering users a visual/straightforward method to handle notices would be ideal.

I mean: if it works then the notices disappears after showing once, so no need for a button.

If it doesn’t work (like in your case) then it’s not updating that user meta for some reason. So pressing the button wouldn’t work either, because that would perform the same action (updating the user meta).

Anyway. I’d try the usual debugging:

1. Disable all other plugins, see if it works then.
2. If not, try switching to a default theme (like Twenty Sixteen) and check again.
