Cannot remove startup Widgets

I recently switched to the Anna Lite theme, which I really like. But, the theme came with pre-loaded Widgets on my home page, which I cannot remove.
I tried Appearance > Widgets and looked in all Widgets but none show as containing the Widgets appearing on the home page.
I tried Customize > Widgets with the same result.
I tried switching from a static page to my blog as front page and that didn’t change anything.
I’ve refreshed my browser and waited a day to see if the contraband Widgets would finally appear in one of the Widget areas under Appearance or Customize so I may remove them. No luck.

Please advise how I can see the Widgets in Appearance or Customize in order to remove them. I’ve looked in the Sidebar, Header, Top and Footer – all areas. None show as having any Widgets in them currently, yet Archives, Calendar and Catagories are showing on my page. My page: https://www.lindaelliottwrites.com/.
