Cannot Resolve Host

When I attempt to update wordpress, plugins, search for plugins, etc, I’m getting an error similar to this:

Downloading update from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/release/wordpress-3.9.1-no-content.zip…

Download failed.: Couldn’t resolve host ‘downloads.www.ads-software.com’

Installation Failed

My contact forms using the Fast Secure Contact Form plugin are also not arriving in my email.

This is affecting two different wordpress installations hosted on the same linux virtual server. I didn’t update any plugins, installations, content, or change anything on my server.
