• After updating to iThemes Security Pro Version 5.3.3 when trying to save ANY setting:

    An “invalid format” error prevented the request from completing as expected. The format of data returned could not be recognized. This could be due to a plugin/theme conflict or a server configuration issue.

    This was when hosted at Siteground.com.

    However, after I deactivated and reactivated the plugin, then it seemed to work.
    So I would suggest that people give this a try, should they encounter this error.
    Also watch the “NETWORK” panel in Chrome when trying to diagnose, that is always a help.
