Most likely your server has some kind of security software installed that blocks the HTTP request because it detects the menu configuration data as “suspicious”. I’ve seen similar problems caused by things like mod_security2 and Bad Behaviour.

Try asking your hosting provider about this. Maybe they can add an exception for this plugin.

Just to confirm that this problem was indeed an issue with a security rule set by my hosting provider.

    Thanks for your help Janis.

Hiya, I’m having this exact same problem (I’m using the Pro version with a Business licence) but my hosting provider says they’re unable to do anything unless I can provide much more specific instructions as to how to add a security exception. Would you be able to help out at all with these instructions?

    Many thanks Janis

Sorry, I’m afraid I can’t give you specific instructions. These security systems are generally something that is set up by your hosting provider and runs on your server. They can vary quite a bit from one provider to another. I cannot possibly know how your server is configured.
