I am currently using PublishPress Blocks version 2.10.3.

When I go into an existing post and edit an advanced Gutenberg block and click “update” button, everything seems to appear to be working. I have no errors in the console. When I got to the page to view the results, I still have the old data. If I refresh the edit page, I end up with the old data again.

At first I thought this was cache related, but I have cleared cache multiple time on the server and in my browser.

I was able to replicate the issue with a new advanced table block. I created a new page and a new advanced table block on it and saved. The table was created successfully and I can view the table on the front-end just fine. If I edit the table now while still on the edit screen, the changes I make appear to have worked but do not get reflected on the front-end. If I refresh the edit screen, my changes disappear and I am left with the old original data.

I hope that helps you troubleshoot the issue.

    Hi @stevenayers63,
indeed this sounds like a cache issue.

Would you mind testing in a local site without any cache enabled?

    Regards

I am experiencing the same phenomenon.
Once I switched to HTML editing and modified it, it was reflected.
The table cannot be modified by editing the block.

    For your reference.

Please share the HTML from code editor so we can reproduce the same scenario in our end.

@htmgarcia thank you for the quick reply and I apologize for my delayed reply. I did test on local and was able to reproduce the issue without cache involved. I made a video demonstrating the issue and also shows how the issue is inconsistent. I hope this helps.

@htmgarcia just for good measure, I am going through and disabling other plugins and testing to see if there is a conflict with another plugin. I’ll provide an update here soon.

@htmgarcia I am able to replicate the issue on my local (no cache) with all plugins disabled (except for this, one of course) and using the default theme Twenty Twenty-One.

@htmgarcia This issue is not resolved. (I just changed this status back to unresolved)

I have not seen a release since version 2.10.3 that includes a bug fix for this issue in the changelog.

@htmgarcia using WP Rollback, I have rolled this plugin back all the way to version 2.3.11 (22 JUN 2020) and the problem still exists.

I’m not sure if this problem existed back then or that Gutenberg simply changed along the way and broke your compatibility.

Nevertheless, I am giving up my attempt to implement a temporary solution by rolling back the plugin to an earlier version due to the risk of reintroducing other bugs by using an even further outdated version.

    Hi @stevenayers63,
I believe this issue has been there for quite some time. Thanks to this forum topic we are aware of the problem.

Having this same problem… Just curious when/if you expect to resolve this issue.

    Hi @jdorner,
we are still working on this issue.

    Regards

Just checking to see if you are going to resolve this issue soon. I’m working with a ton of tables and running into this issue each time. I have to click in the cell, click off of it, and then click back into it to get my changes to the table to show up. Thanks for your hard work. I love your plugin!!
