I’ve tried installing Genesis Simple Menus plugin on WP installation with multisite. On the multisite I’m working on (theme eleven40), if I go Posts/Categories/Edit Category I have access to form field to set menu for 2nd navigation menu bar, but when I update it returns to default.

Why am I not able to save my settings?

    Thanks

    Tim

Note: I’ve encountered a similar problem in Genesis/Theme Settings for Genesis Style Select Plugin.

Also this happens if I both network activate or single mutlisite activate the plugin

You should not network activate simple menus.

Have you tried it with all other plugins deactivated?

Just tried activating Genesis Simple Menus on individual multisite ONLY with all plugins network deactivated and all plugins deactivated on all other sites.

Still same issue. Can’t save any settings changes. Both for Genesis Simple Menus and Genesis Select Style Sheet.

My install of WP was inherited from someone else who configured the install and server manually.

I’m wondering if there is an issue with permissions?

Thanks for any further advice offered.

I’ve Just heard back from CopyBlogger/StudioPress support:

“Currently, the selection will not save for categories for any Genesis user. It is not just you ??

The developers are aware of the issue. Unfortunately, I don’t have a timeline for a fix though.”

Does anyone have any alternative suggestions for how to have dynamic secondary menus on StudioPress themes that are controlled by category?

    Thanks

Simple menus will need a small fix for that due to a change in Genesis 2.0. I will have the fix released by the end of the week.

    Wonderful. Thank you!

When should we expect this to be fixed? Trying to work on my website and it is all crazy. ??

Thanks Ron, I misunderstood. I noticed that you said that 4 days ago and the end of the week was yesterday ?? So, you mean by the end of next week? No problem. I can work on other things at this time. Thanks for the quick response

Technically the end of the week for me is midnight tonight. In this case the reason it has waited until the last moment is I needed to find a few minutes to spend in front of the computer on a long (holiday) weekend.

    Try this version: https://github.com/copyblogger/genesis-simple-menus/archive/master.zip

LOL, Ron! Sorry my week starts on Sunday (according to my editorial calendar ;-)) YAY! Works like a charm. ??

Thanks very much for taking care of this and on a holiday weekend. You Rock, Ron!

@3boysandadog – thanks for the quick turn around on feedback ??

Um BTW – it actually works, but if you go back in and edit the category again it shows “default”. So, it isn’t saving within that screen but it is making it work.

@ron Thank you SO much for the fix!

I’m having this same problem and it’s still not fixed for me.
