Cannot save settings (server-config-rules & wp-config-rules)

  • Hello,

    After installing iThemes security i cannot save any settings are even be able to browse through them. I get the following two errors:

    Kon geen geldig instellingen object vinden voor server-config-rules. De instellingen konden niet worden opgeslagen.
    Translation: Could not find appropriate settings object for server-config-rules. The settings could not be saved,

    Kon geen geldig instellingen object vinden voor wp-config-rules. De instellingen konden niet worden opgeslagen.
    Translation: Could not find appropriate settings object for wp-config-rules. THe settings could not be saved.

    What is going wrong?

    Looks like the plugin install got corrupted.

    Logout, delete the wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security folder and manually install the plugin using ftp or any Hosting Control Panel interface. Then login and activate the plugin (if necessary).
