Cannot Save Template

    I am trying to install Simple Post Template V 2.0.9 in WordPress 3.6.1
    The install seems to go OK and in the admin panel I can see the admin for the plug-in with no templates installed.
    However when I go to add a new template, it allows me to fill in the data fields for the new template and hit save. The template is NOT saved and it simply return to an empty list asking me if I want to create a template.

    I have tried deactivating and re-activating with no success. I have tried several new template with no success. I have checked the server file structure permissions and no new template file is added.

    Any suggestions as how to isolate?

    Or can someone give me a sample template file & location and I will manually save it in the right location. I only need a few custom post templates.

    No longer need an answer to this. Got tires of trying, waiting; and resumed searching.

    Found TinyMCE template which does work.
