cannot see Home-front page in the pages list

Sorry, didn’t see you had already started a new thread.
Do you have your page set up as a static page in Settings > Reading? Do you have Page Content enabled in Theme Options > Home Layout?

Problem got resolved..but now in the home page there is a big gap between header and body text.

Add this to your custom css box in theme options > advanced settings:

#nav-main ul.sf-menu {
    float: left;
}
