    Hello!

I’ve just started working for an organization, their blog is made with wordpress and W3 total cache is installed. Doing some work for them on metatags I purged the web’s cache using the W3 total cache plugin and now, when writing a post and accessing the media library, no new images are displayed. The website has also a WPML plugin and, in the main language of the website you can see the previous images (never the new ones uploaded) but in other languages (spanish or english) you can’t see anything. This only happens on posts and not on the media library per se.

Extra info, the wordpress they are using is quite old 3.8.1 and the php 5.5.3-1ubuntu2.6., I’m trying to make an upgrade but everything is quite slow.

    Hello @norasp

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
You can use Aliases and specify full home URLs of your mirrors so that plugin will flush it’s cache when content is changed. Go to Performance>Page Cache, Aliases sub-box, and add those domains in Additional home URLs: field.
    Thank you!

Hi, sorry and maybe this is obvious but I’m just not seeing it, will this solution display the pictures uploaded on the media library when writing a post? How so? Which URL should I add if that is the case?

I’m sorry but I don’t understand the instructions or how do they relate to the specific issue I’m having.

    Hello @norasp

You stated that the images are visible in the wp library but once the page is updated and you purge the cache, you can see the image on the default language but not in the remaining two languages.
So you need to add the other two domains to Performance>Page Cache, Aliases which will ensure that once the page cache is purged the content is changed for the other languages.
    I hope this helps!

    Hi, sorry, I haven’t explained myself quite well, I apologize. The images can be seen on the post when published but not on the medialibrary when writing the post. Let me explain myself better with a step by step basis;

    Step 1. Create post
Step 2. Add media through the media library button inside the post editing page

Issue 01: On the secondary languages no pictures are displayed on the media library lightbox

Issue 02: On the main language media library lightbox no images newer than the 4th of May (when I flushed the caches for the first time) are displayed.

    Hello @norasp

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. However I am not sure that the issue is related to W3 Total Cache.
Can you please disable W3 Total Cache and see if the issue persists?
    Thanks!
