Cannot See Media Library After Copy

I followed the instructions at https://www.godaddy.com/help/moving-small-wordpress-sites-to-godaddy-6110 to copy a site from one hosting account to another, and although I can see the files in the uploads folder on the new install when I use an FTP client, when I log into WordPress and view the media library there are no images. When I go to Settings > Media I cannot find the field to set the default images folder either. Any advice on how I can get WordPress to find the images that are already in the uploads folder? Thanks.
