Cannot see “Pay with cards” button

    Hello. I’ve just updated from the old Paypal Gateway plugin, but I have an issue: on my cart I can just see the golden button “Pay with Paypal”, but I cannot see the button to pay with credit cards. Just to be clear, once I click on “Pay with Paypal” I have the option to pay with a credit card, but I would like to have also the button to put directly the card detail as I had on the old plugin and as I can see from the screenshot at the plugin page.

    P.S. I have activated the PayPal Card Processing, obviously.

    Hi @mariograsso87,

    Unlike the previous PayPal Checkout plugin, the standard credit card smart button is not available on non-checkout pages. The option for branded card payments still exists from the PayPal popup window though. With PayPal Payments, the following payment methods are available from the non-checkout pages: PayPal, Pay Later, Venmo, and SEPA Direct Debit.
    All other funding sources (including credit cards) are available exclusively from the checkout page.

    The PayPal Card Processing is also a separate feature. When enabling the PayPal Card Processing, the regular black credit card button on the checkout page will be hidden from the PayPal iframe in favor of a separate gateway exclusively for credit card payments.

    Regarding the screenshots, please check again as none of the screenshots display the credit card button on non-checkout pages. Displayed is a PayPal Credit button, which is similar to Pay Later but with special requirements. Thanks!

    Ok, I found out that the button appears once the PayPal Card Processing method is disabled. I little strange behavior, to be honest, but it’s totally okay now.

    Hi @mariograsso87,

    The main difficulty we see is the lack of feature explanation and documentation as some of the advanced plugin features are currently not doing a great job at explaining their purpose.
    But in the coming days, more feature documentation will go live and we are also working to better explain certain features from within the plugin as well.
    So feedback is always appreciated in case anything is unclear or if you have any suggestions. Thanks!
