• Hi, I recently tried to move around / shift on my Widget-ready theme but it didn’t seem to work.

A few days earlier, it was working fine, I don’t know what has happened now. So I myself tried to troubleshoot and here is what I did:

    1. I deactivated the Widget plugin I added just to check if it was messing things up. But it wasn’t so I turned it back on.
    2. I thought the widget plugin that I didn’t didn’t use needed deactivation, but that didn’t help either.
    3. I was using FireFox 3 Beta, so I thought it might be a browser compatibility issue, but trying it from FireFox 2 (stable) didn’t work either.
    4. So I thought probably something (some plug-in, or theme) had code that didn’t comply with my WordPress 2.3.3 so it might not be working correctly. I thought to reinstall / repair the WordPress installation, but nothing changed, yet again. I still can’t move the widgets around, and this is what my Widgets look like, stuck!

I know it’s probably a bad time to bug WordPress support for 2.3.3 since they might be working with 2.5 people, but I would be really grateful it got solved.

    Thanks,
    zEro

  • HI: I am having the same issue with the 2.5 install. this is an upgrade. in admin mode, the widgets are not moveable with firefox, however, seems to work with Internet Explorer.

Yep, I get the same thing. This is one part of it I wish they would have left alone.
