Cannot Select any Template Except Standard

I have never had any issues with the Cyclone Slider before. I always use the thunbnail templete. Today, when I created a slider and published it, I noticed that it didn’t look right, so checked the template. Even though I thought I had selected the thumbnail template, the standard template was checked. So, I rechecked the Thumbnail template and clicked on Update. After update, the check mark was back on the Standard template.

So, I went into setting and removed all templates except the Thumbnail template. Then went back to my slider to see if the thumbnail template was now selected. It was not, so I selected it (it was the only template showing) and clicked Update. Again, after update, the check mark was gone and the images are still of the Standard template variety (with the black bullets instead of thumbnails. Only this time, the black bullets are TINY!

Any idea on how to get my thumbnails back? I hate the bullets!!!
