Cannot "Select Files" To Upload Pic's

  • Never had this problem before- I am trying to add a picture to my post, but when I go to “add media” the “select files” button will not work. Whenever I click on it, it does nothing, it will not open up “my pictures” so I can insert them in my post. I have tried closing down my browser and using the single image uploader, but the “select files” button still wont open anything up! Please help, I have soooo much work to do & need to be able to add photos to get it all done!!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
