• Hello

We just updated to 1.1.0 and inserted the Mailpoet subscription checkboxes.
Unfortunately we are not able to select a list.
When clicking on a checkbox nothing happens.

    Are we missing something?

    Thanks
    Aldo

  • Hi Aldo,

Thanks for using this plugin. We have improved few parts of this plugin today please update your plugin first to see the change.

Here is how you can use new Mailpoet List field to let your subscriber choose which list they will subscribe to .

    1. Make sure “Mailpoet feed is disabled” . ( https://i.imgur.com/3xW9uNh.png ) If both feed and field enable , than field addon may not work properly.

    2. Add Mailpoet list fields in your form like this ->

    3. Follow this image to set final settings ->

Please let us know if that works for you ??

Thanks a lot for the feedback!
    I‘ll test it later on.

One more question: A user can subscribe an unsubscribe via the form, right?

    Best, Aldo

    Hi Tamim

    Hi Tamim

I might have found the issue. It is how you render the checkboxes.
The classes and id’s are not set correctly.
Please have a look at the screenshot.
The first checkbox group represents the one generated from your plugin, who does not work.
The second one is setup with the native GravityForms checkboxes (the work).

So I think updating this should resolve the issue.

    Thanks for checking.

    Thanks a lot.
I can check/uncheck the checkboxes now, but when saving the form, the user is not added to the selected list.

It does not reflect this in the Mailpoet List view nor on the page where the form is placed where the user can edit his profile.

    Any idea?

    Thanks
    Aldo

    Hello @ab_lu,

Can you please test the form using email which is not already subscribe with Mailpoet?

If a user get subscribed than he will get a email with his subscription information in the mail.

Please let me know about it.

    Thanks

    Hello

I think i misunderstand the purpose of this plugin.

We created a Form with GF, where a user can edit his profile (Name, contact, email, etc.)
At the end we inserted the possibility to subscribe to newsletters with your plugin.

So he can subscribe/unsubscribe via this form.

Is this how the plugin should work?

    Thanks

    Hello

The user was not subscribed yet.
Stil, they are not added to the list.

    Any idea?

    Thanks,
    Aldo

    Hello @ab_lu,

    1. This plugin works good with contact form. In a contact form if anybody want to subscribe to your newsletter than you can let him choose a list from frontend using new Mailpoet Subscribe field button.

Otherwise, you can force subscribe a user on submit form using this plugins Feed Plugin. To do so you will have to hover over a form settings link and click on Mailpoet and click Add New Mailpoet feed if there is no settings has set already. Here is a gif will help you to understand -> https://gyazo.com/63052f28c930dac1a749a6ad38f51081

If you enable feeds than you don’t have to add Mailpoet Subscribe field in form.

    2.

The user was not subscribed yet.
Stil, they are not added to the list.

All registered user are by default a subscriber in mailpoet. You will find all registered WP user in WordPress Users mailpoet list. If a user email is already subscribed than this plugin can not subscribe that email again.

To test this plugin, create a contact form and try different email address to contact or subscribe, I hope that will work.

    Thanks

    Ok, I got it “Subscribers”.

So am I right your plugin does not allow to optin/optout subscribers from available lists?
This is just a on off when a user is completely new?

    (@ab_lu)

    Hello,

Could you please confirm, the plugin only allows to subscribe but not to modify a subscription afterwords, correct?

    Thanks

    Hi @ab_lu,

Yes it is only subscribe email by contact form. It is currently not allowing subscription modification.

With current code structure of this plugin , this will be tedious to create. However, you can send us a private request for this task.

    Thanks
