    Hello,

Thank you for developing this plugin, it is very useful.

I have tried to create some events that happened in the past but it seems that I cannot set the date to older than 5 years ago, and we are currently migrating manually some events from a different system to this plugin and it seems I cannot set an event for 2016 for example and I cannot seem to find a setting somewhere that could limit this.

I’m using the latest vesion of the plugin and WordPress, and the Gutenberg block editor.

    Can you please advise?
    Thank you.

Hi @dcgavril, apologies for the delay here. Yes, it is a limitation of the date range here, 2017 is the farthest you could set the datepicker. See the screenshot here → https://share.getcloudapp.com/X6uQ5ZXJ.

I’d definitely check with the team if there’s any workaround for this one.

    Hang in there.

    Best,
    Abz

    Hello @abzlevelup

    Thank you for your reply.

I’ve seen that there’s a date range limitation but I cannot seem to find any setting to change that, otherwise I will have to change it directly in the code of the plugin (I’ll have to search for the code that builds the datepicker, haven’t yet found the right file), but I find this limitation a bit odd to have it in the first place and yes I know that there aren’t many users trying to add past events that old.

    Thank you for your help.

Hi @dcgavril, yes I already shared it with the team and we do not have any workaround for its codebase. However, you could still manually edit the year at the top of the datepicker → see the screenshot here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOubLqeA.

No worries and thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Thanks for the reply, @abzlevelup. Editing the year doesn’t actually do anything because it’s reverting to 2017 at save.

Hi @dcgavril, thanks for confirming. I already shared this with the team. I was able to update the date on my end. See the screen recording here → https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuW6k4J.

Appreciate your patience here. We do not have any other workaround for this one. However, I would encourage and recommend you to add it as a feature request in this link: https://evnt.is/ideas, this would help us track users needing this feature.

Nevertheless, I am unable to provide you with an exact date for when this feature will be available or if it is possible. As our development team considers certain factors before implementing one like if a feature request has enough votes.

    Hi @dcgavril,

We haven’t heard from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.

    Hi @abzlevelup,

we tried your workaround but it’s not working for us and this issue is preventing us to display old important events that really help us with gaining visibility with both search engines and users.

For us this is an important limitation and a fault that your plugin documentation is not pointing out, this could easily lead to refund requests.

Btw, should we expect with the next year that the events that goes past 5 years will be affected in the same way?

We also add this request to the feature suggestion here?https://evnt.is/ideas
