Cannot set slideshow template

    Hi,

    I need a way to override default templates in my theme, but I’m having troubles in doing that.

    I know how to add custom templates, and I understand that I can do that by creating legacy templates.

    The problem is that there is no “Legacy (Old) Templates” option in “BASIC SLIDESHOW” tab.

    I think this is because the nextgen_basic_templates_template string is missing from method _get_field_names in class A_NextGen_Basic_Slideshow_Form (line 313 file package.module.nextgen_basic_gallery.php), but I don’t know if there is a reason for that.

    PS: I’m available to other ideas (again: I do not need custom templates, I need to override default nextgen gallery templates)

    We have asked our developers about it.
    Nevertheless, here is my feedback:
    At this moment we don’t recommend changing the code directly since future updates will overwrite it.

    About custom templates, and the basic slideshow
    knowing that you don’t need one, it’s ok, but since we are using a new code for those slide show displays, the way to implement a custom template might be different.
    So we might need to report this back to our documentation team.

    Hi @gabyimagely, thanks for your answer.

    It would be fine for me to use custom templates for “Basic Slideshow”, just the same way I’m currently using them for “Basic Thumbnails”.
