I am getting multiple users a week say that they cannot submit calendar events through the front end service, whether or not they use the proper web address. How do I fix this and/or eliminate this required field? This flaw has rendered the add on that I paid for completely useless and I’m having to enter events manually because users can’t submit them.

    Website is https://www.bdcommunityconnection.org

Here is an example message from a user:
Hello – I was trying to add a couple activities to the calendar but it keeps saying my website address is incorrect with www or with https://www How should I enter the address so it will accept it?

PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS ISSUE!

    Thank you,
    Brian

  • Hi Brian,

I was able to submit event on your website without web address, do you still have this issue?

Yes! the problem occurs regularly whenever anyone tries to enter a web address. Is there a way to just eliminate the formatting requirement of this field. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I swear I get 2-3 complaints like this a week and as a result I have to have them send me the data via email and manually process the request. This situation has rendered the add on that I paid for completely worthless to me. I need to get this problem resolved soon. I hope it doesn’t take another 5 days to get a response.

To be clear, the problem is occurring when someone enters a web address (either in the correct or incorrect format). The fact that you submitted a request without a web address misses the point.

I have tried sending several emails to the address above and after more than a week I have not received a response.

I am continuing to have this problem. I am extremely frustrated at the lack of support I am receiving at this point, especially given the fact that I’ve paid for a subscription to this product that is not working.

Here is the latest message from a frustrated user:

    —-

I had no real problems completing the form, but when I tried to submit the form nothing happened. There was no message to suggest that I had missed a required field or anything like that. It just didn’t respond, so I could not tell whether it had been submitted or not. I went back to the “submit an event” page and hit “post event” and my completed form came back up.

I also tried to add a couple of different tags: nature and gardening. I think those are probably the most appropriate for most of our events.

Attached is the event list that I had planned to post. If you can help get these up, I would appreciate it. I realize that it is probably too late to post the first event.

Thank you very much. Please let me know if you need additional information.
