Cannot take payments

  • Anyone else suddenly having issues with payments?

    I cannot take Stripe or PayPal anymore, neither are working.

    Getting this error in the console:-

    Those are PayPal issues. Can you enable Sunshine Logging (Sunshine > Settings > General > Data & Logging). This will record the data being sent to PayPal when it tries to setup the order and why that is failing.

    This seems to be affecting a very small group of people (all in the UK so far) for some reason and I have yet to identify the issue. I have an open ticket with PayPal Support trying to get an answer from them as the errors reported back are often citing “Rate Limiting” – which is PayPal’s defense against spam attacks and some specific servers appear to be now blocked by PayPal.

    If you are having Stripe issues, are you seeing any specific errors?

    PayPal say it’s your plugin missing data that they require to be sent with the request.
