Cannot unlock a locked IP

Hi,
I’m the admin for our site. A colleague has managed to get himself locked out, so I’ve tried unlocking him. When I go to the Dashboard > Locked IP Addresses and click on Unlock, I get a message saying “The selected IP entry was unlocked successfully!”, but the IP address remains on the locked list. I’ve also whitelisted the IP (to prevent login lockdown), but this didn’t help either.
Any help much appreciated! ??
