Cannot update my page unless disabling Wordfence security plugin

From what you’ve described, this sounds like you’re being blocked when trying a normal operation with WordPress or another plugin of some kind?

If you haven’t already tried enabling Learning Mode, you can read more about this (and also another method of allowlisting directly from the Live Traffic page) here: https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/

Live Traffic should present you with an “ADD PARAM TO FIREWALL ALLOWLIST” button if you trigger a block then check the top of the feed for it afterwards.

Hi Peter, Thank you for your email. I am not very techy but i got the gist of your email. I was able to replicate the error by trying to update my site but until this morning i couldnt find a way of allowing my IP through the firewall. But as if by magic this morning an otion showed of “Allow this request and user” on the warning. So it seems to have worked. I hopei havent opened any other doors to attacks.

That sounds like good news. The option you’ve chosen shouldn’t have any adverse effects on the security of your site, just ensure a known “safe” action from your site (or another plugin) isn’t hit with a false-positive and blocked by mistake.
