Cannot update plugin

    I’m currently on Event Organiser 1.7.3 and plan on updating over the weekend to 1.8.2. However, in my WordPress Updates page on the dashboard, it stopped showing the EO plugin update today (although it’s been showing there normally for quite a while previously!)

    This happened after I updated an unrelated plugin, so I assumed that I had mistakenly updated EO at the same time, but viewing my Installed Plugins and EO is still on 1.7.3 and any files that normally would be changed are still as they are.

    Is this just an issue with WP’s plugin update servers or have I done something stupid? ??

    Is this working now? There’s no reason this should occur (Event Organiser doesn’t touch WP’s updated/version-checking routines)…

    No, still not showing in the updates. I assume when I tried updating the unrelated plugin then something happened on my end and it sort of half-tried to update EO. I’m sure it’ll all fix itself whenever there’s another regular EO update anyway. ??

    Could be another plug-in interfering. Particularly if you have one that updates from a different location – i.e. a purchased plug-in. I’ve seen WooCommerce add-ons muck this up.

    Disabling the other plug-ins and forcing an update (via the updates screen), may resolve it.

    Just a little update on this. I had the “Types” plugin installed. It got updated today and suddenly Events Organiser is back in my list.

    Looking through the Types changelog I see this:
    Fixed compatibility with ACF, Events Calendar and a number of other plugins due to removed actions

    Seems like the fault was with their plugin in the end.
