    Trying to update plugins and as well and the million other problems with the site I can’t update plugins… I get the follow error:

    Update Failed: {“success”:true,”data”:{“update”:”plugin”,”slug”:”woocommerce”,”oldVersion”:”Version 3.6.5″,”newVersion”:”Version 3.7.0″,”plugin”:”woocommerce\/woocommerce.php”,”pluginName”:”WooCommerce”,”debug”:[“Enabling Maintenance mode…”,”Downloading update from https:\/\/downloads.www.ads-software.com\/plugin\/woocommerce.3.7.0.zip…”,”The authenticity of woocommerce.3.7.0.zip could not be verified as no signature was found.”,”Unpacking the update…”,”Installing the latest version…”,”Removing the old version of the plugin…”,”Plugin updated successfully.”,”Disabling Maintenance mode…”]}}

    Any advise? Tried disabling and enabling again, even tried completely replacing the files but got no luck so far

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • This could be related to file permissions. Did you tried checking with your host GoDaddy?

    You can also trouble shoot by deactivating all the plugins and then updating & activating one by one.

    This is not permissions. See the first line of https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/2019/08/16/ssl-for-auto-updates/

    Is the 3.7.0 version of woocommerce the latest version? If so, it should have a signature, but that is what the complaint is about.
    Does the plugin show a version number of 3.7 or 3.6.5? The sequence of messages indicated that the update happened despite it saying it failed.

    Installing the plugin manually would definitely work.

    even tried completely replacing the files but got no luck so far

    What does this mean?

    Thanks for the reply,

    Samuel O, I have checked the file permissions both myself and with GoDaddy and also manually tried other permissions from reading posts by other people and none seem to have worked, GoDaddy were of no help at all as their solution to many of my problems was to simply delete things from my site so I’m hesitant to ask them for further help.

    Joy, woocommerce is version 3.7.0 on my site currently. It’s really strange because it’ll say a lot of the time that the update has failed but when I refresh the page the update has worked but there has been times previously where it has had the same message but then a couple of days later the plugin has the reverted to the previous version and says it needs updating again.

    When I said I’ve tried replacing the files what I meant what I’ve gone to the plugin download page, downloaded the plugin manually and then replaced the files via FTP with the downloaded ones but that didn’t seem to do anything. tried flushing the cache thinking that may have been the problem but didn’t work.

    Coming online this morning there are now no plugin updates… How strange… just got to figure out the rest of the problems with the site now haha.

    Thanks for your help folks!

    Rob
