• I cannot upload images (“Http error”). When I use ftp to put images into a gallery folder, NextGen sees them, but then I cannot place the gallery into any page. Other threads on this problem did not resolve mine. I have already gone through the process of deactivating all plugins and switching to Twentyfifteen theme, complete uninstall of NextGen plugins and deleted tables and all gallery folders. Problem remains not matter what the conditions are.
My host uses the same theme and NextGen (not Pro) on many sites, and does not have this problem with any of those sites, so something has become corrupted on my end. I need help desperately.

@davidpreiser – As you have noted, this does work not happen on similar server environment settings so that leaves something on your site specifically.

I’m concerned with your modifying the database … aside from removing the _ngg_* tables did you also clean out the NextGEN Gallery entries in wp_options, wp_postmeta, and wp_usermeta?

I did see those mentioned in instructions on your site. I looked for entries and didn’t see any. There are none now in wp_options or wp_usermeta, but there are new entries in wp_postmeta for the images I’ve recently uploaded (and the associated thumbnails) in my new attempts to create and post a gallery. Perhaps there are entries in the other two tables I’m not recognizing?

@davidpreiser – if you wouldn’t mind submitting an issue to our tracking system, we can take a closer look https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ – with the database having been adjusted, there are likely new issues that could have arisen.

    Thanks,

    -Drew
