I moved to another host due to downtime issues with the previous host. I installed a fresh copy of wordpress on the new host and imported the whole database from phpmyadmin. However, now I cannot upload any pics while writing a new post.

I think its due to the new directory structure.
    Before it was:
    /public-html/<WORDPRESS INSTALLATION>

    Not its:
    /<WORDPRESS INSTALLATION>

    How do I fix this?

    Thanks.

  • Is there an error message that you could share with us?
Are permissions on the upload directory properly set?

At the Settings -> Misc page, what do you have in the top two fields — and are those values correct (note: the second field is typically empty…)

    Thanks a lot. I checked Settings–>Misc
and changed the upload path from

    /public-html/wp-contents/uploads to /wp-content/uploads

    AND NOW IT WORKS !!!

    Thanks a lot HandySolo.
