• Hello,

    My images are getting stuck in the ‘crunching mode’.
    Link to Screenprint

    I have done the following:
    1) I have tried uploading one image (24KB in size) and multiple images (all under 100KB each) and get the same result. Even though they don’t show up on the library they do show up (via FTP view) in the uploads folder.
    2) I turned off all plugins and I still get same response.

    Please help!!

    In looking through other posts I saw other suggestions for similar issues, so I’ve tried:
    * checked my .htaccess file (looks like the standard code)
    * reuploaded the wp-admin and wp-includes folders
    * changed to Twenty-ten theme
    NO CHANGE with any of these items. I also did this with ALL plugins deactivated.

    I would really, really appreciate assistance on this issue- Thanks!!

    Also tried changing the post data amount in my php.ini and still no change ??

    This is not a multi-site however I did transfer it over from one server to another using backup buddy.

    This is what’s required:

    Everything worked fine the instant this was in place. You would think……..

    I am not very sure about your situation.
    If you were moving from a host to another host, you need to change the media upload setting.

    Login to your WP dashboard, point to settings, select media, scroll to bottom and change the upload path to…content/uploads ..something like that. Anyway, WordPress will show you the exact path.

    Try it, it should works.

    In my case, it was a new installation. Making the changes as suggested above solved it immediately. As this is in the hosting provider’s support knowledgebase, it is clearly something which they have had occur on a regular basis. I only came across it after having gone through all the configuation settings, as well as searching these fora. Then I figured the hosting provider’s clients might have had this happen before.

    Upload path does not exist under Media Settings for site within mutli-site setup. At the top level configuration file, it was correctly set for the root uploads folder, and folder permissions were correct (7,7,7). It just didn’t work until I made the suggested changes as per the above link.
