• When creating a blog post, if I choose to add images to the post, and do so by directly uploading into the post, I’ve noticed for a few months now that I can no longer insert all the photos into the blog post at one time. If all images are selected, inserting them into the post doesn’t work at all.

    So I’m forced to insert my images in batches now. Sometimes I can insert up to 9 images, sometimes it’s only 6 or 7 at a time.

    Regardless, it’s really slowed down my workflow (sometimes I need to insert 30 to 40 images in one go).

    Has anyone else experienced this problem? And, is there a solution for it? Thanks!

  • many large image files upload will fail because server timeout.
    Upload will fail too if the server is busy/overload.

    what is the average file size of your images?

    @lcf The images upload to the server just fine – it’s just that I can’t insert multiple images into the blog post all at once. Seems really odd to me.

    @kristinetp any error message?

    @lcf unfortunately there isn’t any error message. It’ll just kick me back to the post, but no images have been added if I try to add many in one go. So I have to do this in batches.

    I have this same issue with my own posts and inserting images. It’s been super annoying. If I go into Inspect/Console I see this error if I try to put more than 7 at once:

    jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:4 POST https://blog.MYWEBSITE.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 500

    Any idea as to what it means/what to change to fix?

    I should add that all the images are in the 200 to 300kb range as well. They aren’t massive files.
