Cannot Upload Pictures to blog

  • I am having problems when trying to upload pictures to my blog, it works fine with text entried, but when i try and upload an image i get the following error message:

    Unable to create directory C:\Inetpub\vhosts\costaricaholiday.co.uk\httpdocs\blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/08. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    What does this mean and how can i fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Well is it. If you don’t know how to check if it is or not have your host check.

    Also try turning off the organize uploads by month feature. Look in your dashboard under Options then under Misc. uncheck the box organize my uploads…

    i have looked for the option to turn off organise uploads by month, but i do not have a Misc. category on my options page.

    Are you logged in as the admin. If not get your admin to change it and see if that helps.
