Cannot use it

Sorry about the response delay.

1) First you need to have an account with Logos.com (which is free by the way),
https://www.logos.com/register

2) Then you need to login to Biblia.com’s api center with your Logos credentials,
https://api.biblia.com/v1/Users/SignIn

3) Then click either “Register Application” or Register a new application” and enter an application name (identifier for your purposes, it has no significant value otherwise), and your website url.

4) Then copy the api key and enter it into Bible Embed’s Settings.

In the near future the api keys will no longer be needed.

I do have an acct with logos and biblia- and got the API key – but still not working- I copied the shortcode and pasted it into a page…what am I missing?

Which version of WordPress are you using?

Also, where are you using the shortcodes? By default, WordPress doesn’t process shortcodes in widgets. In order to place the shortcodes in widgets, you heed to edit you active theme’s functions.php file and add

add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode');.

Please let me know what is not working?

I would like to have it in a page – where I can point users to it from a slide.

FYI…my email address I use in Logos and Biblia are not related to my wordpress email…what is the logic to connect between them ? maybe that is an issue?

If you are having problems with the api key, you may need to check the application url (in biblia.com’s api site) in and make sure it is the same as your website url, also make sure that if you have www in your website url that is also in the application url.

As for emails, I don’t think that really matters. I have a website running this plugin and it has no connection to wordpress regarding email.

was able to log in to biblia with my logos sign in info- my application there is set up with this url : https://www.chuchofhope.ca , it will not take it without the https:// – still not working – sorry for all this trouble.

I tried to access your website, however, I cannot using the link provided above. Maybe, since your website is Canadian, Biblia’s servers are somehow prohibiting it.

I am about finished with a pre-release of the new version that will not require an api key. I will keep you up to date and send it to you as soon as it is finished.
