I have just updated to latest version of Woocommerce (42.0) and now cannot use the quick edit link in Products.

I see from other forums this has been an issue in the past with the Woocommerce Admin, which is now built in I think?

I need this to be working asap. The plugins I have enabled are essential, so while I will test to see if there is a conflict, given that it is WC which has just been updated and no other plugin, I’m going to go with the conflict being WC.

@mintjelly As you guessed, behavior like this is usually caused by conflicts.

There isn’t a known issue with the latest version of WooCommerce that would stop the Quick Edit feature from working. I have tested this on a site of my own, but the Quick Edit button continues to work on WooCommerce 4.2.

I’m guessing a plugin on your site is not compatible with this version, which is what caused this conflict. To confirm which plugin specifically is the cause of this, you would need to run a full conflict test.

You’ll want to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront. Then, disable ALL plugins on the site except for WooCommerce, and test for the issue.

If the issue is gone, you’ll then have to re-enable features one by one, while testing for the issue; until you find out which one is causing this behavior.

This type of test can be quite disruptive to a site, but it is necessary that all plugins are disabled, even ones that are deemed “essential”. Because of this, I’d strongly recommend that these steps are taken on a staging site. You can create one using a plugin like WP-Staging: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/

    Hey @mintjelly

Hopefully, Fernando’s pointers about a conflict helped you to a solution here. As we haven’t heard back from you in a while I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Thanks,

It’s definitely a javascript conflict caused by another plugin. For us it was “Disable Admin Notices Individually.” Good luck.
