Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
With respect to the issue here, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Update your permalinks from the Settings > permalinks section and check whether the issue is resolved.
2. Change your WordPress theme to a WordPress default theme and check whether the issue is resolved.
Also let us know of the PHP version your site is running on.
I look forward to your reply.
Kind Regards
Hi John
Thanks for getting back to me.
I have updated my permalinks and tested using a default theme. I had also put the site plugins into Troubleshooting mode and enabled Elementor+ Pro, BuddyPress and BuddyBuilder.
My php version is 7.3.27
I am still having the same error message and issue with the Groups and Members not displaying.
Best
DanielAfter switching the theme back I am now also getting this message:
Notice: Undefined index: register-page in /home/customer/www/staging2.simonw59.sg-host.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/stax-buddy-builder/core/hooks/BuddypressHooks.php on line 533

…all I see below errors and filters is the message ‘Loading the groups of the community. Please wait.’ but there is no loading animation so it looks like the javascript is not working however I am not seeing any console nor network errors.
also getting this error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/customer/www/staging2.simonw59.sg-host.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/stax-buddy-builder/core/hooks/BuddypressHooks.php:449) in /home/customer/www/staging2.simonw59.sg-host.com/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1020
Hey there,
Thanks for keeping in touch with us.
In this case, could you kindly end us your system info. You can find it in under Elementor → System info. Please use Pastebin to paste it and send it to us.
I look forward to your reply.
Kind Regards
Hi John
If I leave BuddyBuilder plugin activated when I log out I cannot log back into to the site without renaming the plugins directory and re-importing the DB. I get this message:
Deprecated: crypt(): Supplied salt is not valid for DES. Possible bug in provided salt format. in /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f11/f11-public/wp-includes/class-phpass.php on line 272
Thanks again
DanielHey there,
Thanks for keeping in touch with us.
In this case, I noticed that you have a number of third party plugins in place. Still with a default theme activated, kindly disable those third party plugins you have in place (all plugins apart from Elementor plugins, BuddyPress and BuddyBuilder) and check whether the issue is resolved. If so, try activating them one by one to identify the conflicting plugin.
Let me know how it goes.
Kind Regards
No I have tried all of that as per the guidelines – I’ve just tested again and same problem.
I removed all the templates so they are set to the BuddyPress Default and I get this error:
'Notice: Undefined index: register-page in /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f11/f11-public/wp-content/plugins/stax-buddy-builder/core/hooks/BuddypressHooks.php on line 533'
and that is with no plugins activated and a default theme
Hey there,
Thanks for keeping in touch with us.
In this case, could you please try and navigate to the Settings > General section within your WordPress dashboard and enable the membership option “Anyone can register”. Once this is done, navigate to the Settings > BuddyPress > Pages section and specify the register and activate pages.
Let me know if this helps with the error.
Kind Regards
Hi John
I tried that but it has not helped, but it did reveal something else, which is pointing towards a problem with javascript/jQuery. I’ll outline what happened:
1. BuddyBuilder was disabled
2. I made sure the ‘Anyone can register’ was checked and the BuddyPress Register and Activate pages were selected
3. I checked the Members and Groups directory pages and they were all working correctly. I was able to use the filters e.g. ‘Newest’ ‘Alphabetical’.
4. I enabled BuddyBuilder and the listings did not display, just the loading message
5. I reset the templates to BuddyPress default and now when I click the filters the screen goes blank. So this rather indicates that something is getting messed up by enabling the templates and stopping the default filters working – however I am not seeing any javascript errors in the console.
In addition I re-enabled the templates and I am getting a new error message:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function bp_nouveau_before_groups_directory_content() in /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f11/f11-public/wp-content/plugins/stax-buddy-builder/templates/buddypress/groups/index.php:14 Stack trace: #0 /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f11/f11-public/wp-includes/template.php(732): require() #1 /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f11/f11-public/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-template-loader.php(165): load_template('/Users/danielja...', false, Array) #2 /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f11/f11-public/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-template-loader.php(67): bp_locate_template(Array, true, false, Array) #3 /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f11/f11-public/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-template-loader.php(350): bp_get_template_part('groups/index', NULL, Array) #4 /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f11/f11-public/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-groups/classes/class-bp-groups-theme-compat.php(134): bp_buffer_template_part('groups/index', NULL, false) #5 /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f1 in /Users/danieljackson/Sites/f11/f11-public/wp-content/plugins/stax-buddy-builder/templates/buddypress/groups/index.php on line 14

Hey there,
Thanks for writing back.
In this case, could you kindly counter-check that you have enabled the BuddyPress Nouveau template pack under the Settings > BuddyPress > Options >Template Pack section.
Also, had you customized the BuddyBuilder templates you had imported? I would also encourage testing out the plugin on a fresh install, possibly within a staging site and import the default BuddyBuilder templates to see if there any errors generated.
Please do keep us posted on how it goes.
Kind Regards
Thanks for all your help – I found the culprit after doing a fresh install and adding back all the plugins one by one. Nothing to do with BuddyBuilder —?the WP_CONTENT_URL had been defined as a relative url in wp-config.php
