I installed WordPress 2.6.x a few months back and I am back in the game now so I updated to 2.7. After the update, I cannot view the homepage or read the articles, but my wp-admin dashboard appears to be working fine.

When I visit the site, all I get is a blank page.

When I view a new post from the Dashboard, all I get is a blank page. And by blank I mean a page with no HTML code or text or anything visible.

I have deleted and re-installed the files twice now. Didn’t seem to help.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I left all the files in the wordpress folder (I used to have them in a blog folder but I’ve changed it all back).

Typically, a blank screen means you didn’t get a complete and intact set of WordPress files uploaded to your host. I’d consider downloading a fresh copy of WordPress from the Download tab at the top of this page, then use something like 7-Zip to extract the files. Then reupload the files to your host. Review Uploading WordPress to a remote host and make sure you are using ASCII transfer mode in your FTP client.

If you have an .htaccess file, that too could be causing the problem–rename that if necessary
